The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
