I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
